Good Friday Afternoon and Saturday night to all of us Merry Christmas and happy new year to all nyc and WW Emirates residents
Food: 4.5/5 The food is consistently delicious. Everything I've tried here is great so the whole menu will leave you pleased. My go-to is the mix meat over rice platter with salad and fries. The lamb cubes are moist and flavorful while the chicken isn't as moist but still packs a ton flavor. Service: 4.5/5 Service is quick and effective. There's always patrons in line or delivery people waiting - yet the staff makes sure things keep moving while not sacrificing on the quality of the food, the consistency of the food portions and the accuracy of the order. The team is a well oiled machine. It's quite impressive to witness actually. Ambiance: 3.5/5 It's a small foot print but they put some exceptional food that keeps the neighborhood happy. It gets a bit tight in there when you're waiting for your order. There's a lot of people in the later hours but hey, those are the Munchie hours and the wait / being cramped next to other hungry folks is well worth it. Value: 5/5 The portions are legit! You won't be hungry! You and your partner and your dog won't be hungry! Don't feed it to your dog though, the red sauce is fire! The portions are seriously generous and one platter can easily take care of any level of munchies.
My first order from here was via door dash. For my kids I ordered a cheese burger and fries. The burger comes on a roll, very Brooklyn creativity haha. They really enjoyed it, I sampled it and it was pretty good. Ordered the lamb and chicken gyro for myself, I didn't like it at all. I gave it to my son, he liked it. I wasn't into the flavor of their lamb or chicken, the chicken was an interesting orange/red color. Food came on time and was packed well. I'd order from this location again.
Cute little spot. Fresh fish. Packed up Gyro. Too many fried though. Wish I would've gotten more fish instead of the fries with fish. Staff very friendly. Both combos came with a soda. Nice place.
Okay y'all, I ordered from this place 3x in a week. Slightly ashamed but not really LOL. Indeed there were things to munch on! I ordered the 2 Piece Fish and 6 Shrimp Combo, Chopped Cheese Hero, Double Cheeseburger Combo, NY Style Strawberry Cheesecake, Buffalo Wings and a Falafel Gyro. These meals are large portions and you definitely your monies worth. No I didn't share this with anyone. I ATE IT ALL! Vacation calorie logic. I ordered online, so I can't speak to the in house experience. All of the food had great presentation, taste, and traveled well. Especially the fried fish and shrimp. The French fries were under the fish/shrimp and could have been placed in another container but it wasn't too bad. All of the food had great taste. Food like this can be too salty and over seasoned at times but this was just right. My favorites were the Chopped Cheese, Fish and Falafel Gyro. It's my default go to place now. Stop by and give them a try, the Munchies aren't required.
Sometimes when you accidentally get on the wrong train and get off the wrong stop, you'll come across a gem of a shop and think it was kismet. Such was the case for me at 9:30pm on a Tuesday evening, cold and hungry after my workout class. I had recognized The Munchies from Julian Mu's TikTok series, Late Night Bites, and so had hurriedly stepped inside to order some food for the ride home. Even though it was late on a weeknight, the small corner space was bustling, with a line almost to the door. But, the staff moved quickly and efficiently, and I received my order within 10-15 minutes. The menu is quite expansive and offers everything from classic halal cart platters to fish and chips. The portions are extremely generous, especially for the price too and I can definitely see why this is such a popular spot for late night eats. I ordered a lamb and rice platter ($10), which comes with two sides of your choice (I picked hummus and salad). While the white sauce was a little creamier and eggier than I was used to, I really enjoyed the lamb platter which was enough to feed me the next day too. They take Apple Pay too! Overall, worth a visit (or a Seamless order) for some late night munchies.
Ordered this as a late night meal through Uber eats and it was packaged very well (considering the guy was on bike and it was freezing). The portion was enough for 2 and it was quite delicious! Wasn't a fan of the hummus but not enough to discount any rating points!
I know The Munchies will have my back on any late night whether I've got a specific craving or just didn't have time to make dinner. The first time we tried The Munchies we got the hot lemon pepper boneless wings and we were blown away by how they maintained their crisp even though they were delivered and lathered in sauce. The sauce was delicious and we've become big fans. This last time we also got their falafel salad and were really shocked at how hearty it was. It's a little pricier around $13-$14 but they didn't skimp on the falafel or hummus. Everything was super fresh and tasty. I commend The Munchies for their friendly service, how fresh everything is (all made-to-order), and how quick they are. The quality for the price is awesome. They don't skimp on anything. I'd highly recommend if you want something fresh and filling - at any time of day!
As is typical for me, I was hungry for some late-night munchies in Brooklyn after hours of drinking sour beers with my bandmates, and The Munchies was the perfect place. It was still super crowded even late at night, which tells you how good the food is. Delicious falafel and fries and hot sauce.
